1. Terms & Conditions of Participation

1.1 Scope of Activities

These Terms & Conditions apply to all participants taking part in Saracen Shred Sessions 2026, including but not limited to mountain biking, road cycling, bicycle demonstrations, electric bicycle demonstrations, and any associated cycling activities undertaken as part of a public event.

1.2 Inherent Risk

Cycling activities, including mountain biking and road cycling, are inherently hazardous and involve a significant risk of personal injury, serious injury, or death, as well as loss of or damage to personal property. Participation is voluntary and undertaken entirely at the participant’s own risk.

1.3 Participant Responsibility

Participants are responsible for:

• Ensuring they are physically fit and medically capable of taking part
• Inspecting any equipment prior to use or ensuring it has been checked by a qualified bicycle mechanic
• Familiarising themselves with the operation and controls of any bicycle or electric bicycle before riding
• Riding in a safe, controlled, and responsible manner at all times

1.4 Safety Equipment

The wearing of an approved cycling helmet is mandatory at all times while riding any bicycle or electric bicycle during the event. Additional protective equipment, such as knee pads or body protection, is strongly recommended.

1.5 Age Restrictions

Participants must be 18 years of age or older.

Participants aged 17 years or under may only take part if accompanied at all times by a legal guardian aged 18 years or over, who accepts responsibility for the minor.

1.6 Compliance with Instructions

All participants must follow the instructions, rules, and directions issued by event organisers, Madison, Sportline, bike park staff, and any appointed representatives. Failure to comply may result in removal from the event without refund or liability.

1.7 Right to Refuse Participation

Event organisers reserve the right to refuse participation or withdraw access to equipment if a participant is deemed unfit, unsafe, or in breach of these Terms & Conditions.
