FLIGHT MODE VALENCIA
Bike rental is a service provided by "Flight Mode Valencia" with NIF: Y3478504K.
Flight Mode Valencia is the owner of the rental bikes and equipment set forth in this lease.
The insurance policies that the user can choose for the City Bike (not E-bike) are as follows:
- THEFT AND DAMAGES INSURANCE from 2€/day includes: coverage of 50% of the value of the bicycle (50% of 300€ = 150€) in case of theft and no charge in case of damage;
- ROAD ASSISTANCE (outside the city of Valencia) for 5€/bike includes: road assistance in case of mechanical failure or puncture. Assistance is available during shop opening hours (summer hours: 9:30AM–8:00PM; winter hours: 09:30AM–7:00PM).
The insurance policies that the user can choose for the Electric Bike are as follows:
- THEFT AND DAMAGES INSURANCE from 5€/day includes: coverage of 50% of the value of the bicycle (50% of 1300€ = 650€) in case of theft and no cost in case of damage;
- ROAD ASSISTANCE (outside the city of Valencia) for 5€/bike includes: roadside assistance in case of mechanical failure or puncture. Assistance is available during shop opening hours (summer hours: 9:30AM–8:00PM; winter hours: 09:30AM–7:00PM).
Upon request, if the Road Assistance service outside the city of Valencia has not been previously contracted,
the service is available at a cost of 30€ per call (not per individual bike) during shop opening hours (summer hours: 09:30AM–8:00PM; winter hours: 09:30AM–7:00PM). The service can
be requested by calling or sending a WhatsApp message to +34 611 671 652 and applies to all types of bicycles.
- The customer is aware of and agrees to comply with traffic laws and regulations and is responsible for any damage caused (to themselves or others) as a result of an accident while using the bicycle. Flight Mode Valencia is not responsible for any claims, fines, or penalties resulting from the violation of these laws.
- The customer is required to properly lock the bicycles at all times. To prevent theft, it is recommended to always lock the bike by the frame and wheel to fixed points.
- In case of bicycle theft, the customer is required to pay the total amount corresponding to 300€ (City Bike) or 1300€ (E-bike). A portion of the amount will be deducted from the deposit.
- For each City Bike, as well as for each type of cart, a security deposit of 50€ is required, which will be refunded upon return of the bike, once its condition has been verified. In the case of an electric bike (E-bike), the deposit will be 100€ for each electric bike. In addition, a copy of the customer's ID/driver's license will be required. The deposit is intended for any damages to the bike or non-return of rented accessories. Payment and deposit will always be made in full and in advance at the time of rental.
- There is no refund in case of early return before the agreed-upon time in the contract.
- Late return of the bike(s) will result in payment of the corresponding fee.
- The use of bicycles on sand is not allowed. Damages caused by sand will incur a supplement of 200€ for City Bikes and 1200€ for Electric Bikes.
- After using the E-bike at night, it is mandatory to recharge the battery before returning the bike. If this is not done, a 10€ penalty will be applied for the discharged battery.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE SECURITY DEPOSIT MADE WITH A CREDIT OR DEBIT CARD:
- When you make a security deposit using your credit or debit card, it is a pre-authorization. This means that the deposit amount is temporarily held on your account, but it is not actually charged. Once the deposit is released by us, the amount may become available again in your bank account. Please note that this release process may take between 2 to 14 business days, depending on your bank.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
In the case of renting more than one bicycle, the chosen insurance package and/or Audio Guided Tour must be mandatorily applied to all bicycles under the same reservation.
ROAD ASSISTANCE (included in the city of Valencia):
- In case of breakdown/flat tire, the customer simply needs to send us a WhatsApp message to +34 611 671 652.
- Roadside assistance service is available every day during shop opening hours (summer hours: 09:30AM–8:00PM; winter hours: 09:30AM–7:00PM) and is valid for all types of bicycles.
- The arrival time of the mechanic may vary between 20 and 60 minutes depending on the customer's location.
ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE (outside the city of Valencia):
- The roadside assistance service can be purchased online or directly at the store. The price is 5€ per bike and the service is available during shop opening hours (summer hours: 9:30AM–8:00PM; winter hours: 09:30AM–7:00PM). The service is available within a 20 km radius from our store.
THEFT AND DAMAGES INSURANCE:
With theft and damage insurance, in case of bicycle theft, the customer will only have to pay a portion equal to
50% of the bicycle's value, instead of the full amount (100%).
In case of theft, the customer will have to pay the following fees:
- 150€ (300€ is the value of the City Bike)
- 650€ (1300€ is the value of the electric bike)

Insurance services can be purchased online or directly in-store. If you forget to add one of the insurances to
the bicycle(s) during the online booking, it is still possible to purchase it when picking up the bicycle(s)
in-store.
If you have not purchased Theft and Damage Insurance before renting the bicycle and the bicycle or its parts are
stolen or damaged, the full price will be charged.
In the case of significant frame damage that prevents the use of the bicycle (e.g. bent frame or unusable
bike), the full value of the bicycle will be charged regardless of whether the insurance was purchased or not.
DELIVERY SERVICE
The service is available for delivery/pickup from 9:30 AM–1:30 PM and 4:30 PM–7:00 PM in the city of Valencia for a minimum order amount of 50€ (one or more bikes). The service outside the city of Valencia is available within a 20 km radius from our shop. The "Delivery" or "Pickup" option must be selected from the extras of each bicycle if the delivery service is desired. If the delivery/pickup option is selected with a total amount lower than 50€, the request will not be considered. In the event that the customer does not respect the agreed-upon time for the service, a penalty of 10€ will be applied for every 15 minutes of delay.
CANCELLATION AND RESERVATION CHANGE TERMS
- Free Cancellation and Change: You can cancel or modify your reservation at no cost up to 48 hours before the scheduled time for bike pickup.
- Cancellation and Change After the Deadline: If the cancellation or reservation change occurs after the 48-hour deadline, the full cost of the bike rental and contracted services will be charged, even if not used.
- No Show: In the event of a no-show or failure to notify of cancellation, the full cost of the bikes and related services will be charged.
