TERMS & CONDITIONS
1. Delivery and return:
Delivery and return hours at Costa Teguise:
- Monday - Friday : 09:00 - 16:00
- Saturday : 09:00 - 14:00
- Sunday: Closed
Delivery and return hours at Arrecife
- Monday – Friday : 10:00 - 13:30 | 17:00 - 20:00
- Saturday : 10:00 - 13:30
- Sunday : Closed
The renter has to provide Tribike a valid ID or passport.
On the last day of the rental, the bike should be returned before closing time of Tribike and the bike has to be checked by a mechanic.
The bike will be returned in the same conditions of use as in the delivery moment.
The loss of components and accessories, as well as damages arising from improper use, should be processed in the moment of return and will be charged to the renter.
If the bike is returned before the set time, Tribike reserves the right not to repay the rent for the remaining days.
Damage to the bike should be immediately reported to Tribike and it will be repaired as soon as possible.
*The hours for delivery and return can be modified according to our availability in case of delivery in any other place different from the shop.
** Tribike & The Bike Station reserves the right not to return the deposit if any of the above points are not met.
2. Extension of bike rental agreement.
In order to extend the duration of the contract, the renter must count with a written agreement from Tribike.
Unconfirmed extensions will be charged with 100% of the deposit.
3. Prices:
The prices are the ones that Tribike stipulates at the hiring moment and the payment must be done before delivering the bike.
There would be a deposit as an agreement to a mutual respect regarding the contract and its conditions. The deposit would be:
250€ - Carbon and electric bikes
100€ - Aluminium bikes
4. Emergencies and/or accidents:
Tribike does not have a roadside assistance service, although in case of serious problems, it is recommended to call the number on the bike and we will try to provide the best possible solution.
The renter is responsible for any damage caused to the bike.
The renter must have an ID during the whole use of the bike.
5. Obligations for renters:
It is the renter’s responsibility to:
An appropriate use of the bike according to the weather and route conditions.
Wear a helmet and protective clothing (helmets are included in the bike rental price)
Know the relevant rules of the road and to practice cycling in a safe way.
The fines received during the bike rental, so it is the renter’s responsibility to respond to them. It is mandatory, by law, to wear a helmet during any bike ride.
Report to Tribike any loss or damage caused to the bike.
6. Legislation:
For the resolution of any controversy that could arise under this contract, the parties are subject to the Spanish jurisdiction and the courts and tribunal of Arrecife.
7. Strictly prohibited:
Cycling outside the designated roads for the bike rented.
To put the bike in contact with salt water and beach sand.
To rent the bike to a third party.
Cycling in a dangerous or negligent way or while being under the influence of substances whose effects may affect their physical or mental condition.
To leave the island of Lanzarote with the bike without the explicit permission of Tribike.
To participate in sports races without permission of Tribike. In order to participate in sport event, the renter must count with the written permission from Tribike and must pay an extra day.
In any of this cases, Tribike will keep the deposit.
8. Cancellation policy:
They will receive a 100% refund of the rent, cancellations more than 5 weeks in advance.
They will receive a refund of 50% of the rent, cancellations with a term between 3 and 5 weeks.
No refund of rent is made, cancellations with a term of less than 3 weeks.
By confirming the reservation through payment, the tenant has read and understood all the terms and conditions set forth above, and agrees with all the terms without any inconvenience.
