HIRE TERMS & CONDITIONS
By completing our Bike Hire Disclaimer form, you
agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions:
Proof of Identity
Photo
identification must be provided on the day of hire (without exception).
Accepted forms of I.D are, UK driving licence and a passport. A photo copy will
be made of I.D.
Damage
The person signing
the hire agreement form will be held financially liable for any loss or damage
to the equipment hired and is fully aware of these terms and conditions.
We kindly request
the customer to provide credit/debit card details, for precautionary use only.
By doing this, the customer authorises Bikeremedy to charge the credit card
they have on file for all eventual costs in case of damages to the bicycle(s)
during the rental period, comprehensive of labour, except in the case that the
hirer can demonstrate other's faults with evidence and all necessary
information for reimbursement. In case of theft, the customer will be
responsible for reimbursing Bikeremedy for the original purchase price of the
bike, plus the cost of any accessories that were provided at the time of the
bike rental.
Security and Safety
As the customer,
you understand that you are responsible for all equipment relating to this
agreement. This means that you the client should take care to lock the bike to
a fixed object through the frame and front wheel whenever unattended using a
secure lock.
Helmets are
available for every hire, we strongly recommend everyone wears a helmet, by
signing the helmet disclaimer on the hire agreement form, you and everyone in
your group assume full responsibility for any accident, injury or death which
should occur as a result of taking this decision.
Children under 16
years of age must be accompanied by an adult over the age of 18.
As the client, you
understand that any cycling activity involves a certain element of risk; you
are advised that any person using equipment from Bikeremedy does so entirely at
their own risk. Bikeremedy does not accept any liability for personal injury,
loss or damage to property beyond its legal obligation.
Cycling Manner
As the hirer you
agree to cycle sensibly, with respect for others and the natural habitat. You
are expected to follow the Highway Code in particular the "extra rules for
cyclists" (rule 187-211). Anyone cycling in a discourteous or unsafe
manner while in possession of Bikeremedy equipment will have the equipment
repossessed without refund of hire charges.
On shared walkways,
pedestrians have priority at all times.
Late Returns
Any late returns
will incur a penalty of £10 per bike. Any late returns which affect future hire
periods will incur the full cost of said periods. Further charges are subject
to management discretion.
Insurance
Personal insurance
cover is not included as part of the hire agreement, we strongly recommend that
you the hirer take out personal insurance prior to the hire period.
Personal Health
I declare that I/we
are in good health and that our eyesight is up to a good standard. I/we are not
suffering from any medical condition which is likely to adversely affect our
normal control of the bicycle.
Nuisances
Alcoholic Drinks,
Drugs and Solvent Abuse - you or members of your party are not permitted to
hire or use any equipment whilst under the influence of drink, drugs and / or
solvents.
Failure to comply
with the above will result in immediate confiscation of all equipment. Should
this happen you will not be entitled to any refund or compensation and we shall
be under no further obligation or liability to you.
Cancellation Policy
If for any reason you need to cancel your booking, please advise us as soon as possible with at least 24 hours notice. Regrettably, should you need to cancel within the 24 hours notice period, we will not be able to return your hire fee, we will however honour a mutually agreed re-booking date if we have a slot available for you.
