Terms and Conditions

1.1   We aim to provide a high quality of service to our customers and therefore require all our customers to accept our Terms and Conditions. 

1.2   All customers must provide up-to-date contact details of the main contact of the booking, including a contact number that can be used to reach the booking party on the day(s) of booking.  

1.3   Acceptance of Nevis Range Development Company’s Terms and Conditions of Hire creates a binding contract between the booking client and Nevis Range Development Company. We reserve the right to cancel any bookings made.  

1.4   Nevis Range Development Company reserves the right to hold a security deposit for every bike hired in case of damage caused by booking client. On return of the bike, the security deposit will be released to the booking client after inspection from our Cytech qualified mechanics.  

1.5   On arrival, a photo of the main booking clients ID must be taken for security reasons. Credit Card Details & a £300 deposit. 

1.6   Any damage caused by crashing, misuse of the bike or neglect will be inspected and charged for. 

1.7   All waivers must be filled in prior to the collection of bikes. As the booking client, you accept the risk involved in cycling and understand that you are responsible for your own actions during the period of hire. Nevis Range Development Company are not liable for any deaths, injury, damage or loss of personal belongings during the hire period.  

1.8   Nevis Range Development Company are not liable for bookings cancelled due to weather, strikes, or other causes out with the control of the company.  

1.9   You are responsible for your personal safety and fitness when cycling. Nevis Range Development Company will not refund hires due to lack of fitness, fatigue or lack of skill when cycling. Safe conduct whilst using the hire bike and the resorts facilities is imperative, and the booking client agrees to adhere to all safety measures in place.  

1.10 You understand and accept that Nevis Range Development Company strongly advises that any helmets provided with your hire booking is always worn when riding. You also understand and accept that Nevis Range Development Company strongly advises that a full-face helmet and body armour is worn when riding our gondola accessed trails.  

1.11 Our hire E-bikes and Hardtails are allowed to be taken up the gondola but only ridden on Blue Doon. Clients found riding hired E-Bikes and Hardtails down the World Cup Track and Top Chief will have their booking cancelled without refund.

1.12 Our hire bikes cannot be hire out for to compete or take part in any sort of racing or events at Nevis Range.

1.13 All bikes must be returned to the shop every evening at 4.30pm, even on multiday hires. Bikes should not be taken away via car or public transport from the resort and surrounding trails.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

2.1   Our cancellation and refund policy for our Bike Hire and bike school is as stated below: 

·        One week or more: 100% refund on booking 

·        3-6 days: 50% refund on booking 

·        48 hours of less: 0% refund on booking

2.2   Any bike school sessions that are booked as a block must he paid in full. You will not be refunded for individual lessons you do not attend.

2.4   All refund requests will be addressed on a case-by-case basis and are at the discretion of Nevis Range Development Company.  

Late Back Policy

3.1   All bikes must be returned to the shop at the given time on booking confirmation, at 4.30pm. If you are going to be late back, please contact us on 01307 705825 Ext 227 or 226 to let us know. Late back fees apply as follows: 

·        Less than an hour late: £10 fee

·        Over an hour late: 50% of hired bikes day rate
