SELF GUIDED TOURS TERMS & CONDITIONS

Payment & Cancellation for self-guided tours: To reserve a scheduled tour with Cycling United Ljubljana, a deposit of €500 is necessary upon booking. For tours departing within 6 months, a payment of 50% of the balance suffices. The outstanding balance must be settled two months before the trip commences. 

After confirmation, self-guided tours are non-refundable. However, we provide full flexibility to reschedule the reservation for the entire group or allocate each traveller 100% credit for future travel, up to 90 days before the departure date. Kindly review the tour credit and cancellation fee timeline provided below. Any credited amount in your account remains valid for 24 months from the date it was issued.

Cancellation policy for self guided-tours is as follows:

·        More Than 90 days to departure: 25% of tour price cancellation fee & 100% of deposit as future tour credit*

·        61 – 90 days to departure: 100% of tour price cancellation fee & 75% of deposit as future tour credit*

·        31 – 60 days to departure: 100% of tour price cancellation fee & 25% of deposit as future tour credit*

·        0 – 30 days to departure: 100% of tour price cancellation fee & No tour credit*

* Funds reserved in case of rescheduling the rental. 

Self-guided tours are priced based on a minimum group size. If, by any chance, the minimum group size requirement is not met, we retain the right to revise the quoted price per individual. In the event that this adjustment is not acceptable, we will provide tour credits following the aforementioned timeline. Alternatively, if the update is proposed 61 days prior to departure, we offer the chance to reschedule the trip to dates that accommodate all travelers.

BIKE RENTAL TERMS & CONDITIONS

A customer renting a bicycle from Cycling United Ljubljana (hirer) does so under the following Terms and Conditions:

1. The duration of this rental is detailed in your booking.

2. Payment: The full balance for the rental amount has to be paid when booking bikes from Cycling United Ljubljana. Once the funds are received we will confirm the booking and you will receive an invoice. The hirer is required to present their Passport or Personal Identity Card when picking up the bicycle. A security deposit of 200,00€ per bicycle is required. The person signing the rental contract must be over the age of 18 and is responsible for all equipment rented. Returning the bicycle before the end of contract: There is no refund for bicycles returned before the end of the rental contract. Returning the bicycle(s) after the stipulated time on the contract will be penalized with 6,00€ an hour/bike, or fraction.

3. Rented Equipment: Bicycles and equipment hired on a rental agreement remain the property of Cycling United Ljubljana. The rented bicycle can only be used by the person that is indicated in the rental contract. The hirer is obliged to take good care of the bicycle taking all precautions necessary to protect the bicycle from damages, loss or robbery. At the end of the rental period a representative of Cycling United Ljubljana will determine the condition of the rented equipment and if necessary, evaluate any losses or damages occurred. The hirer is immediately and totally responsible for all damages or losses up to a maximum of the present price of replacing the bicycle.

4. Pick up & Return of bikes and equipment: The bike is to be collected and returned by the guest at the Cycling United Ljubljana, Dobrunjska cesta 62, 1261 Ljubljana - Dobrunje, unless otherwise arranged with Cycling United Ljubljana and confirmed in your booking. The return of the equipment must be done on or before the “Rental End date and time” detailed in your booking. The term ‘equipment’ in this contract refers to the subject matter and accessories rented on this contract.

The hirer receives the bicycle in a good technical, safe and clean condition. The hirer checks this condition immediately and confirms it with his signature on the rental contract. The bicycle(s) must be returned in the same condition in which they left the shop. The guest must inform Cycling United Ljubljana of any damages of the equipment as well as its malfunction. The hirer agrees at this moment to be responsible in case of theft, damage or breakage of the bicycle. The cost of reparations or reposition of the equipment will be charged to the hirer. At the end of the rental period, Cycling United Ljubljana will determine the conditions of the rented equipment and if necessary assess the losses or damages caused (excluding reasonable wear and tear of the equipment).

5. Cancellation Policy for bike rental is as follows:

·        prepaid reservations can be canceled free of charge from up to 21 days before the rental period starts

·        cancellations made from 15 to 21 days prior to the rental period start will be subject to a 25% cancellation fee of the full booking price

·        cancellations received from 8 to 14 days prior to the rental period start will be subject to a 50% cancellation fee of the full booking price

·        cancellations received from 7 days to 72 hours prior to the rental period start will be subject to a 75% cancellation fee of the full booking price

·        cancellations received 72 hours or less before bicycle(s) pickup date will not be reimbursed.

·        No refunds or partial refunds are available after a rental has started.

·        All cancellations must be in writing and sent to: info@cu-ljubljana.com.

6. The guest is obliged to safely secure the bike indoors at all times when it is not in use. The guest should not lock the bike outdoors in a public place and should instead remain with the bike at all times. 

7. In case of a flat tyre or mechanical breakdown, the transportation to our shop is at the customer’s own expense. We do not offer a pick-up service.

8. Liability in case of accident: Cycling United Ljubljana services do not include Travel Insurance. It is the client's sole responsibility to secure Travel Insurance beforehand through their chosen provider prior to embarking on their holiday. You should carry insurance and identification documents while riding. Cycling United Ljubljana is not liable in any accident for damage to the customer or caused to third parties. Helmet use is mandatory. It’s the hirer's responsibility to use the helmet. Non-compliance can affect any claims in case of an accident. In cases of emergency and accidents the number is 112. It is always advisable to have a mobile phone with you.

9. Civil Responsibility and Limitations: Cycling United Ljubljana is not responsible for any fines or penalties that may result from the breaking of any traffic laws and rules. The customer is obliged to obey the traffic laws including stopping at Stop signs and stopping at traffic lights. The hirer is responsible for all damages that occur whether to himself or anyone else within the rental period. Cycling United Ljubljana is not liable for claims of injury or damages caused to themselves, to others and / or their property.

10. These Terms and Conditions conform to Slovenian law. The hirer agrees that Terms and Conditions are binding on his family, his heirs, his legal assigns and his administrators and executors. The place of jurisdiction being exclusively in Slovenia.
