Be at least 18 years of age or have the consent of a legal guardian. 

Have valid photo identification. 

Be capable of using the bike safely. 

Sign any necessary waivers or forms related to the bike rental. 

Booking: You must book your bike in advance through the Uprise Bikes platform, by phone, or in person at our designated rental location. 

Rental Period: The rental period is defined as the agreed duration from when the bike is collected until it is returned. Rentals can be daily, weekly, or as otherwise agreed. 

Identification and Deposit: A valid ID and a security deposit may be required at the time of the rental. The deposit will be refunded upon return of the bike in good condition, minus any applicable charges for damage or loss. 

Purpose: Demo bikes are available for test rides, and their use is restricted to the purpose of evaluating the bike’s performance. You must not use demo bikes for racing, commercial purposes, or extended use. 

Demo Ride Duration: The demo ride is limited to a specified time, which will be outlined when booking the bike. Returning the bike after this time without prior arrangement may result in additional charges. 

Responsibilities: You are responsible for the proper use, care, and security of the hire bike during the rental period. 

Maintenance: Uprise Bikes will ensure the bikes are in good working condition at the time of hire. You are responsible for checking the bike upon receiving it and reporting any issues immediately. 

Prohibited Uses: You agree not to use the bike for:  

Racing or competition. 

Commercial use (unless authorised). 

Carrying heavy loads or passengers. 

Operating the bike in a reckless or unsafe manner. 

Condition of the Bike: You are responsible for keeping the bike in good working order while in your possession. Any maintenance or repairs required during the rental period due to mishandling or improper use will be charged to you. 

Repairs and Service: Uprise Bikes will provide support in case of technical issues. However, should the bike require repairs due to customer misuse, the cost of repairs will be charged to the customer. 

Loss or Damage: If the bike is damaged, lost, or stolen while in your possession, you are responsible for the full replacement or repair costs. Uprise Bikes will assess the bike condition and provide a quote for any damage. 

Timely Return: You must return the bike at the agreed time and location. Failure to do so may result in late fees or additional charges. 

Late Fees: If the bike is returned late, a daily late fee will apply. The amount will be outlined at the time of booking. 

Return Condition: The bike must be returned in the same condition it was provided. Any significant dirt, damage, or modifications will result in additional cleaning, repair, or replacement charges. 

Rental Fees: The cost of rental is determined by the type of bike, rental duration, and any applicable services or add-ons. 

Additional Costs: Any late return fees, damage, loss, or repairs will be billed to you. An invoice will be issued at the end of the rental period. 

Assumption of Risk: By using the demo or hire bike, you acknowledge that cycling inherently carries risks, including accidents, injuries, or death. You assume all risks associated with using the bike. 

Insurance: It is recommended that you have personal insurance coverage in place to cover any injuries, damage, or loss while using the bike. Uprise Bikes does not provide insurance for accidents or injuries while the bike is in your possession. 

Indemnity: You agree to indemnify and hold Uprise Bikes, its employees, contractors, and affiliates harmless from any claims, losses, liabilities, or expenses arising from your use of the bike, including but not limited to injury, death, property damage, or legal costs. 

Personal Data: In order to process your booking and for the safety of your rental, we collect and process personal data such as name, address, contact details, and payment information. By using our services, you consent to this data being used in accordance with our Privacy Policy. 

Changes: Uprise Bikes reserves the right to amend, modify, or change these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any such changes will be communicated to you. 

Cancellations: If you wish to cancel your booking, please notify us at least 24 hours before the rental period to avoid any cancellation fees.
