Cancellation Terms & Conditions
Should you need to cancel your booking prior to 48 hours in advance, a full refund will be given or you can move your booking to another date (subject to availability). If cancelled within the 48 hours period or you are a no-show for your hire, you will be liable for 100% of the total value of your rental.
No refund will be given on bikes returned early.
Sail and Cycle Terms and Conditions
We offer hire ONLY for these sailings:
10.30 Trossachs Pier to Stronachlachar (sail out, cycle back)
15.30 Stronachlachar to Trossachs Pier (collect bikes at Trossachs Pier by 12.45, cycle out, sail back)
NOTE: We DO NOT offer the 14.30 Trossachs Pier to Stronachlachar sailing.
Liability Waiver
1 - When riding a bicycle, customers acknowledge and accept they are engaging in an activity with a level of risk that they can and should control, depending on their own experience and attitude to challenges such as speed.
2 - When hiring a bicycle, customers acknowledge and accept the usual risks associated with cycling on road.
3 - Katrine Wheelz cannot be held liable for any damage or injury suffered by the hirer or third parties arising out of the use of the cycle/trailer/equipment by the hirer howsoever caused.
4 - Proof of I.D, credit card or driver's license may be required prior to cycle hire.
5 -The hirer is fully responsible for the safe return of all equipment and they are liable for any damage caused during the hire period.
6 - Katrine Wheelz reserves the right to charge the hirer for repairs and replacement parts due to misuse or accidental damage during the hire period.
7 - The hire duration must not exceed the pre-agreed and paid term. A penalty charge may be applied to late returns.
8 - The hirer and representative from Katrine Wheelz shall inspect and agree that the cycle/trailer or any additional equipment is suitable for hire purpose prior to the start of the hire.
9 - All equipment and accessories shall remain the property of Katrine Wheelz.
10 - Please note it is compulsory that a safety helmet is worn at all times when cycling. Helmets are included in the hire price. NO HELMET, NO HIRE.
11 - At Loch Katrine, the north shore access road is private. Although vehicular traffic is kept to a minimum, you may encounter some vehicles. Please observe UK law and the Highway Code. Be careful on blind corners, steep hills and sharp bends and KEEP TO THE LEFT.
12 - The road can be busy with pedestrians and other cyclists. Please follow the Outdoor Access code and respect other road users.
13 - The rental of any and all equipment is at our discretion and Katrine Wheelz reserve the right to refuse rental to any person at any time.
12 - We will endeavour to provide the bike(s)/equipment which have been booked but we reserve the right to supply alternate bikes(s)/equipment of the same value.
13 - Trailers and tag-a-longs will only be fitted to our hire bikes and will not be hired for attachment to customers' own bikes. Trailers are compatible with our electric and hybrid hire bikes. Tag-a-longs are compatible only with our hybrid hire bikes. Please ensure you have selected the correct combination.
14 – Minimum legal age to ride an ebike in the UK is 14 years. Ebikes will not be hired to anyone under the age of 14 years. Proof of age may be required.
