How to rent a bike:

• The minimum age required for hiring a bike is 18 years. For customers under this age the presence of an adult will be necessary to have them assume all responsibilities and to sign the responsibility form.

• To rent a bike it is necessary to show a valid document (passport or identity card).

• For the rental of our more expensive models the customer is required to provide their credit card details, purely by way of guarantee, and authorize TopBike Rental & Tours to charge to this card costs due to any damage, loss or theft of the bicycle and/or of the equipment rented, according to the wholesale price and inclusive of labour costs.

• To rent our "basic" alloy models, we do not require credit card details.

• It is possible to insure yourself against theft. The guarantee against theft optional limits the liability of the customer to 25% ca. of the wholesale price of the bike. In order to exercise the limitation of liability in the event of theft or loss of the bicycle the customer is required to produce a theft report obtained from the police or Carabinieri.

• The photos of our rental bikes displayed on our website are only indicative and the bike you will receive will be effectively equivalent or superior to the model in the picture.
   
  

Return of the bike:

• The return of the bike and the hired equipment will have to take place within the established time. The extension of the hiring period will be possible only with the approval of TopBike rental & Tours staff. The client will have to get in touch with TopBike Rental & Tours to determine a new delivery time; delays and extension will be liable to surcharge.

• An extra cost will be applied when the scheduled return of the bike is missed and is kept "overnight" and returned the day after between 09.00 and 09.30 am. The cost of the fee is €5 per bike, except for the Top Full E-mountain bike model (in which case a full additional day of rental will be invoiced).

• Rental time explanation: One Day of Rental is equivalent to our opening hours:

  If you return the bike before the established rental period is over, the cost of the rental will not be lowered.

Responsibility:

• The hiring of a bike involves the user to assume full responsibility of things, persons and the bike itself with its equipment. Upon renting the bike, the customer is required to sign a Responsibility Form, providing telephone number and email address.

• Each hired bike includes an Abus “Varedo” U-lock with which it will be possible to secure the frame and the back wheel to a fastened structure. The user will have to use the U-lock every time the bike is left unattended, even for a brief stop. If the use of the lock and/or other equipment is not clear, the customer is responsible to ask the correct way of using it.

• The client will have to pay repair and substitution costs in case of damage, loss or theft of the bike and/or the hired equipment according to wholesale price

Cancellation charges vary depending on the advance notice of the cancellation given by the client   (with respect to the established start of the service):
