BIKE HIRE TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Our clients will be asked to sign the Ultimate Bike Hire disclaimer, on arrival at the shop or upon delivery of your bike, before the hire period commences. This covers you under our third party indemnity, but your own cover is required for personal injury. Ultimate Bike Hire are not responsible for injury or damages caused to/by the client during the hire period.
Accidental damage insurance cover (for any accidental damage to the bike) is provided free of charge. Theft is not covered. If you damage your bike during your hire period, we will make every effort to provide a replacement bike, subject to availability (we retain one bike that is not made available for general hire). We provide a free emergency recovery service for bike / rider, in the event of problems occurring out on the road.
The use of helmets are obligatory in Mallorca. If a helmet is not worn, it may affect any claim you may need to make in case of an accident.
All bikes come with a spare tube, mini pump and tyre levers. There is no charge if the spare tube is used. Further tubes can be provided on request, without charge.
All our bikes are presented in immaculate working order, set up by our professional mechanic, and whilst Ultimate Bike Hire accept general wear and tear, during the hire period, any deliberate damage will be charged to the hirer.
During the hire period, you are responsible for safety checks to your bike each day, before riding it. Please return the bike to the store immediately, if you experience any mechanical issues with your bike.
A 20% deposit is payable at the time of booking your bike. The remaining 80% is then payable up to 28 days before commencement of the hire.
Following the issues caused by the Covid-19 Virus, our Terms and Conditions in relation to the 20% deposit have been altered. If the hirer is unable to make their trip, for genuine reasons, then the 20% can be carried forward to a new booking. Furthermore, if the hirer has to cancel the hire within 28 days of commencement, for genuine reasons, then the 80% can be carried forward to a new hire date.
Bookings made in error will not attract any handling fee, if the hirer contacts Ultimate Bike Hire within 3 days of the date the booking was made.
