Bike Glenlivet Booking Terms and Conditions
Prior to booking any session it is important that you read through the following Booking Terms and Conditions to avoid potential disappointment on arrival at Bike Glenlivet.
Payment must be made in full at the time of
booking.
Bike Glenlivet will act within reason to honour all bookings made. However, we reserve the right not to hire equipment or deliver a session to an individual or group.
Responsibility
All activities are undertaken at your own risk. Mountain biking and Zip Adventure are dangerous activities which involve risk and potential injury or death. Young persons under 18 years of age will only be able to take part in a session when accompanied by a parent or guardian, who undertakes to make any minors in their charge aware of the terms and conditions of the booking.
Bike Glenlivet will not be held liable for any loss or injury caused to you or any third parties. You are responsible for your own personal safety and the safety of your own property. Bike Glenlivet and its employees and agents exclude all liability (whether statutory or otherwise) for any loss, damage or injury caused to you or your property, arising from any cause whatsoever. This includes, but is not limited to, the negligence of the Company, its employees or agents, whilst you are taking part in a session or using hired equipment under this agreement. This exclusion of liability does not affect your statutory rights.
If booking on the behalf of others, you should ensure that all members of your group are aware of the Terms and Conditions of Hire and your personal liability.
Participant Restrictions
For the Zipwire Adventure, it is the customer’s
responsibility to ensure that all participants are:
– At least 8 years old.
– At least 130cm tall .
– Less than 120kg (19st).
In addition, for all sessions and hires, it is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that all participants are:
– Aware of what is involved in undertaking the activity and ensuring they definitely want to take part.
Bike Glenlivet reserves the right to cancel a session without a refund if it becomes obvious to us that any participants do not meet these requirements or if participants are behaving in a way that we believe may spoil the enjoyment of others.
Supervision of Youngsters
Under 18 year-olds must have an adult on site for the duration of the session or bike hire.
Under 13 year-olds must be accompanied on the Zipwire Adventure or the bike hire session by an adult. Maximum 2 children to one adult.
Photographic ID
Photographic proof of identification must be provided in the form of photo driving licence or passport for any equipment hire. This must match that of the card used to make payment. No hire can be allowed if this is not adhered to.
Customer Cancellations
For all bookings, cancellations must be made with at least 48 hours’ notice to receive a full refund or a reschedule. Cancellations made with less than 48 hours’ notice (including participants changing their mind on the day or during the session) will not be refunded.
Please make sure you arrive on time for your session. If you arrive late, we will try to accommodate you, however this may not be possible, and you will not be refunded.
Bike Glenlivet Cancellations
Bike Glenlivet reserves the right to cancel any
session or hire at any time. This will usually be due to events outside of our
control and for safety reasons. In the unlikely event of this happening,
we will attempt to reschedule the activity. If this is not possible, a full
refund will be given.
We do not offer compensation for other costs incurred (for example
travel costs).
Hired equipment/bikes
Any equipment/bikes on hire remains the property of Bike Glenlivet. You must not sell, rehire, lend or part with the equipment/bike provided to you for the activity. You assume complete responsibility for loss or damage to the hire equipment/bike (other than fair wear and tear) from the time the equipment/bike leaves Bike Glenlivet premises until it is returned. If hiring multiple bikes or pieces of equipment you are responsible for all them. Bike Glenlivet shall not be liable for any damage caused or loss made whatsoever by breakdown or other defects in the equipment/bike beyond the control of Bike Glenlivet. You are responsible for all costs, claims and demands which arise directly or indirectly out of the use of the equipment/bike during the period of hire.
You must look after the equipment/bikes at all times and must not leave them unattended or unsecured in a public area. In the event of the equipment/bike being damaged, lost or stolen, Bike Glenlivet will charge you the cost of repairs or the replacement value of the equipment/bikes. Full RRP will be charged for bikes and equipment not returned. You will notify Bike Glenlivet, upon the return of the equipment/bike, of any loss or breakdown of the equipment/bike. All equipment must be returned to the agreed collection point at the correct time. No refunds or reductions will be given for any hire equipment that is returned early for any reason. Bike Glenlivet reserve the right to charge an additional fee for late returns of any equipment or hire bike.
Hire Bikes are not to be ridden on Keiran's Line.

Bike Glenlivet places great emphasis on safety, however within the activities there is an element of risk involved. The person making the booking should make all those in their group aware of the risks. By proceeding with the booking you acknowledge that you and your group understand the risks and are fit and able to take part. If you or any of your group are concerned about your health, then you should consult you GP before participating. All participants must listen to and follow all the safety instructions given by the zipwire leader or bike hire staff, otherwise the session may have to be stopped or the hire cancelled and no refund will be given.
Helmets are provided free of charge and are mandatory for all those hiring mountain bikes.
Activity Feedback
Bike Glenlivet welcomes all feedback. If you have a complaint, you must inform us verbally within 48 hours of your session and in writing within a week of your session for your case to be assessed. Any complaints made later than this will not be considered for a refund.
