Terms and Conditions
OUTSIDE SPORTS LIMITED TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF
RENTAL
The
following terms & conditions form part of the rental agreement between
Outside Sports Rental Department and the Hirer and ALL persons in the account.
The hirer agrees to the terms and conditions of the rental listed below and
further acknowledges that they have read and understood the same and that they
apply to all persons in the account.
1.
The hirer agrees that the equipment hired remains the property of Outside
Sports Limited.
2.
The hirer accepts full responsibility for the care and security of the
equipment listed for the entire hire period and agrees to return the equipment
by the due date and time.
3. The hirer shall be charged in full any repair/
replacement charges to the listed equipment if damaged during the rental.
Charges may be imposed on careless or excessive damage to equipment as
determined by our workshop.
4.
The hirer shall be charged the single day rate for each day the equipment is
not returned after the due date shown, unless prior arrangements have been
made. If the equipment is not returned within 7 days after the due date, the
equipment will be reported as stolen to the police.
5.
The hirer shall be charged the full replacement cost of any equipment damaged
beyond repair or destroyed. If the damage is repairable the customer shall be
charged the full cost of the necessary repair work.
6.
The customer agrees to be responsible for the equipment while in their
possession and lost/stolen equipment will be replaced at the customers expense.
In the case of theft the hirer must report the theft to the local police within
48 hours.
7.
Refund: Any refund, where applicable, will be given to the customer in shop
credit or will be credited to the hirer’s rental account. Cash or credit card
refunds will not be given with the exception of mountain closure, personal
injury (written proof required) or rental equipment failure.
8.
The hirer understands that all snow/ cycle sports are hazardous activities and
the hirer indemnifies Outside Sports Limited and its employees and
representatives accordingly.
9.
The hirer acknowledges that under no circumstance whatsoever will Outside
Sports Limited be responsible for any injury, accident, loss or damage to any
person or property arising out of the hire or use by the hirer of the equipment
subject to this rental agreement.
10.
A credit card imprint or record is required as security for all equipment
hires.
11.
If I am providing the group security deposit with my credit card, I hereby
authorize Outside Sports Limited to debit my card for the repair or replacement
charges for any uninsured equipment lost, stolen or destroyed or for each day
the equipment is not returned after the due date as per the above
conditions.
12.
I authorize Outside Sports Limited to debit my card for the repair or
replacement charges for any uninsured equipment lost, stolen or destroyed or
for each day the equipment is not returned after the due date as per the above
conditions.
13.
I authorize Outside Sports Limited exclusively to use my details for future
promotions and event invitations under the Privacy Act (New Zealand)
Picking up your Snow Rental Gear.
If you’re hiring Snow gear off us please note that you can pick it up from 1pm the day before your initial hire date onwards.
Rescheduling or Cancelling Bookings
If you decide that you need to either cancel your booking or alter booking dates please email us as follows:-

Please note that it is a Queenstown booking. Please note too that if you cancel your booking within 48 hours of your hire pickup we will reserve the right to charge you a booking fee (typically 10% of your total rental).
